P.E.E.R    Investigations

Antique Shop, New Oxford, PA
August, 2005

Customers and staff at this antique shop had eyewitness encounters with spirits. Their encounters included seeing persons in the mirror behind them when no one was actually there, having video cameras going haywire and recording ecto, to an EVP of remnants of the noisy factory machinery from days gone by.

Investigation Details

Members of PEER conducted two separate investigations of this antique shop. The first investigation consisted of only two investigators who quickly realized that more investigators were needed to cover the entire building.
They decided to get to the second floor through a back and hidden staircase. Upon arriving at the top of the stairs they needed to open a door which led into a dark corner. As they opened the door, they were met by a field of ecto hovering at the entrance of the room. Unfortunately, they were not prepared at that very moment to capture it on film.

During the second investigation months later, several photos captured anomalies including orbs, unexplainable shadows and ecto. These photos are described below.

A few orbs were captured in this photo. Even though this is nothing of particular significance, we did not get very many orbs in this building, which is contrary to our initial expectations.

Interesting enough, this picture was taken because another investigator just announced that he captured an orb "right here" with his camera.

A few orbs having a seat? Were they perhaps just waiting around for something to happen . . . like us?

This photo is really weird. My first thought was that the carpet was water stained. Then I thought perhaps there was a big shadow from the camera flash since it went up the wall and onto the ceiling. Take a closer look. A water stain is not going to go up the wall and onto the ceiling in this fashion and a shadow is not going to be behind the investigator. Also if it was a shadow caused by the camera flash, where is the object causing the shadow? The camera used did not have a separate of distanced flash. Also notice that the investigator was picking up a remarkable EMF reading at that very moment and, we captured a moving orb in the same photo.

Cool ecto! Like with all the other photo in this investigation, all lights were turned off except for the emergency lighting. This very fact allowed us to determine that the ecto seen on the ceiling is actually in front of the black fluorescent light tube on the ceiling. And don't even think it . . . no one was smoking and there was no fog in the building. All doors and windows were closed, locked, and secured.

Have you heard the phrase, "objects in the mirror..." It was reported that customers witnessed seeing a person in the mirror when no one else was in the room. Well, this is not a person and there was nothing on the mirror when we went back for another look. The very next morning, before the shop opened for business, one of our investigators went back to the shop to try and debunk the images in the mirror. The investigator confirmed that these images were not on the mirror. Nor were there images in dust, grease or any other substance evident on the mirror.

The orbs in this photo were a little different that other orbs captured on film during this investigation; they have a visible center object.
