P.E.E.R    Investigations

The Cashtown Inn, Gettysburg, PA
October 27, 2006

Built circa 1797, the Cashtown Inn served as the Confederate headquarters for General A.P. Hill during the Gettysburg campaign of 1863.
The Inn has appeared in the movie Gettysburg, in the Mark Nesbitt book and video Ghosts of Gettysburg , the book and video Haunted Gettysburg , and on the cover of Blue and Gray magazine.

Investigation Details

The Cashtown Inn is a very heavily documented haunted property in the Gettysburg area. Many photos, EVPs and stories have been told and The Cashtown Inn has even been featured on The Discovery Channel as a haunted property.
As a local to South Central Pennsylvania, I have visited and dined at the Cashtown Inn several times but never took the time to do any of my own investigating there . . . until now. I attended a dinner at the Inn with a group of people for a Halloween Dinner. Participants of the group included four women, my wife, and myself, Psychic Medium Allyson Walsh and Spirit Photographer Allen Gross and his wife Vivian. After dinner, we were all walking around the Inn, taking photos and reviewing the ghost photo albums in the lobby. Allen, Vivian, and I decided to walk out onto the porch. It was a rainy, windy night with the temperature around 50 degrees. There was no fog or mist and the wind prohibited seeing our breath.
These three photos were taken while on the porch that evening within a minute or two of each other. The first two photos were taken by Allen Gross with a digital camera while the third photo was taken by Vivian using a standard 35mm (not digital) camera.

These three photos were taken by and are the property of Allen Gross, paranormal investigator and spirit photographer and his wife Vivian.
They were taken using both digital and standard 35mm cameras.
Use or reproduction in any way is prohibited without prior written permission from Allen Gross.

Allen took this photo capturing two orbs, on the front porch of the Inn. For this photo, Vivian and I moved out of view to provide Allen a clear shot.

Moments later, I stepped back onto the porch and took a few photos of my own. As I was reviewing the photos, Allen took this photo of my back and with what appears to be the same two orbs in view.

Realizing that I was still standing in the middle of the porch, I stepped to my left, near the porch rail. Vivian then took this photo showing very nice ectoplasm over my right shoulder. Could this ectoplasm be of one of the orbs or from another entity?
